2025 Virginia Network Annual Conference
STATE CONFERENCE
Each year the Virginia Network sponsors a statewide conference that is open to all, designed to inspire women in a wide range of roles in higher education, including graduate students. The annual conference is designed for individuals who serve the varied and diverse institutions and agencies of higher education in the Commonwealth and provides opportunities for networking, collaboration, and sharing information about the national, state, and regional issues affecting higher education today. The Network has been particularly interested in identifying and developing the careers of women from an array of backgrounds and every third year focuses the annual conference on critical issues facing women of color.
This year’s conference theme is “Among the Stars: Expanding Our Professional Constellations.” A constellation looks like a beautiful picture created from stars connecting in the sky. Our interpersonal networks are much the same as we forge relationships, one at a time, to create an interconnected web more extraordinary than the sum of its parts. This year’s annual meeting is all about our connections to one another, at the conference and far beyond. Join us in The Star City as we expand our professional constellations – one by one – and create something stellar together.

We ask you to consider bringing donations of shelf-sustainable food items and period products in support of food banks and other organizations in our host city of Roanoke, Virginia. Your donation can make a real difference in the lives of neighbors. By giving shelf-stable food items and essential period products, you’re helping to ensure that members of the Roanoke community have access to basic necessities that support health, dignity, and well-being. These items are often in high demand and can provide comfort and relief to individuals and families facing tough times. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps build a stronger, more compassionate community. Let's come together and lend a hand! There will be donation boxes at the conference and at Thursday evening’s networking social.
